On May 11 the price for a 1-ounce First-Class Mail stamp will increase from
42¢ to 44¢. Prices for other mailing services — Standard Mail, Periodicals,
Package Services (including Parcel Post), and Extra Services — will also
change. The average increase by class of mail is at or below the rate of
inflation as measured by the Consumer Price Index.

Play and Grow Smart-er Tips
Developmental Learning Tools for 9- to 12-month-olds
•  By 9 or 10 mo. old, babies are usually able to creep, crawl or cruise
around the room (walking with the furniture’s assistance).  By 12 mo., many
have risen to their feet and can stand and even walk.  On all fours or on 2
feet, giddy with the freedom of movement and mobility, Baby wants to move,
grab, and get to whatever used to be out of reach.  Give him toys to hone
his motor and cognitive skills.
•  Using objects as tools, Baby is pushing a ball with a stick or chasing
the carrots around his plate witha a spoon.  He’s also more interested in
interactive activities.  Tickle him and let him tickle you back.  His
problem-solving skills are improving, and now he’ll take the lid off a clear
container to get the toy he sees inside rather than trying to reach through
it.  He’s also beginning to understand words and recognize the names of
familiar objects.
•  Build your “learning Library” by choosing developmental learning tools
designed to “grow” as children grow, that have features and developmental
skill elements appealing to different ages simultaneously all in one toy.
This way, Baby learns developmentally at 6 months old with an item, and at 3
years old, she’s ready for different features of the same toy.
Consider the following Developmental Learning Tools options:
•  CRAWLING toys – encourage Baby to crawl toward things that roll/move with
handles to grab, with sturdy wheels to turn on a rolling toy (movement like
using an iron), wheels with beads inside engage the ears (fine/gross motor,
visual, auditory, thinking/learning)
•  STACKING toys – foam, graduated cups, (non-graduated) post w/ plastic
rings (fine/gross motor, creativity, visual, thinking/learning)
•  FILL and dump – spoons in pots, measuring cups in bowls (tactile,
fine/gross motor, creativity, visual, auditory, thinking/learning)
•  TACTILE balls – roll/crawl after fabric/textured plastic balls (tactile,
gross motor, creataivity, visual, auditory, thinking/learning)
•  HIGH CHAIR activity center – try suction-cup items w/ lots of activities
(tactile, fine motor, creativity, visual, auditory, thinking/learning)
•  FLAP books – with engaging illustrations, gentle rhymes, sturdy expanding
flaps to mix/match animals/people (fine motor, social/emotional, life
skills, creativity, visual, auditory, language/vocabulary,
thinking/learning)

was great then and has been great since to friends she referred to him. He

trimming some others around it to keep healthy, tying some others etc.  He
does not hack or torture the trees ..excellent job and the best part, he is
bonded and insured and is consistently the most reasonable in price!!! Just
to give you an example ..one co. tried to gouge her for 900.00 for the same
job Jacob did for 300.00.  His guys are respectful and nice and they left
the place spotless, which was difficult since they were working around a
half finished pool. It is so hard these days to find Quality co's ,when you
