Make-Your-Own Play Dough
You’ll need:
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
2 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
2 cups water
Food coloring
Put all ingredients in a saucepan and cook for 5 minutes over medium heat. 
Stir constantly. Divide into batches and add food coloring. Store in an
air-tight container.

series of thematic events that allows families to enjoy a day of dancing,
PLAYING together and even some healthy snacking while meeting and mingling
with other families in their community. Perhaps most exciting about
PLAYDAILY is that 100% of the proceeds will be invested back into early
childhood education- via scholarships for teachers, grants to schools and
research grants.
What do you do at these events?
PLAYDAILY's first theme to be explored is Light and Shadow. This combines a
provocative setting with interactive fun, for children ages 2 through 6
years old. Here they will be able to explore, imagine, create and
hypothesize with a number of innovative offerings while engaging with their
families and making new friends. PLAYDAILY Light and Shadow will have
different elements of light and shadow play in each city that will range
from a black light room with fluorescent puppets, bubbles that glow to a
white light room where children can cast shadows on the walls, or use
flashlights and light tables to spark their imagination.
Who designed PLAYDAILY?
PLAYDAILY is the brainchild of Julianne Wurm, educator and author of the
best-selling book Working in the Reggio Way: A Beginner\'s Guide for
American Teachers. Julianne has worked with teachers students around the
country to bring questioning alive in classrooms and get families inside the
educational experiences of their children. Julianne is particularly
committed to family participation and a belief in the innate competence of
children to construct their own knowledge. Julianne holds a Masters of Arts
and Masters of Education from Columbia University, Teachers College where
she is currently completing her doctorate in Early Childhood Education.

Hello. I am a 33 year-old woman who graduated from UC Berkeley and grew up
in Los Angeles. I’ve been babysitting/nannying and driving kids for over 20
years. I have a good driving record and I don’t smoke. I have experience
with multiple children at once (infants-teens). I work at a magazine for my
day job (9-5) but I do babysit nights and weekends, so I have current
references including a few Jen’s Listers. I live by The Grove but driving
isn’t usually an issue. I have clients in my neighborhood, Santa Monica,
Beverly Hills, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, etc. I have a regular Saturday
night family so I’m looking for weeknights/Friday/Saturday day/Sunday hours.
