"Mitzvah Manners"

Performing Arts Students to Perform at Pre-Inaugural Party

Singers, dancers, and musicians will perform on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 7:00PM, as part of the West Coast Pre-Inaugural Presidential Party, to be held at the Studio City Hand Car Wash Outdoor Theater, located at 11514 Ventura Blvd. in Studio City. With a red carpet entrance, black tie optional with sneekers, and tables and chairs for 250 guests, this musical celebration will start the west coast  countdown to the inauguration of President-Elect Obama, and Vice President- Elect Biden on Tuesday January 20, 2009. Student performers from Champs Charter High School, Campbell Hall School, and student performers from Riverside Drive School, and Colfax School will perform musical acts for the guests in attendance. Following the student performers, the guests will dance to the music of the R &B Band, Micco and the CIA Band (Change In America). CLASSES

Music Circle: Mixed Ages

“Music Circle” classes feature original and traditional children's songs and nursery rhymes.  Each class is balanced with familiar tunes and routines as well as new songs you and your child can learn together.  We will focus on building confidence, sharing, language development and overall music appreciation.

Adult participation is also strongly recommended. Your energy will be contagious. Singing, dancing, waving scarves, and playing instruments are just a few of the highlights of this interactive class.

This class is a great way to introduce music to your infant's ears while building a small community for them.  Fingerplays, movement, stories and instruments will be incorporated into the songs and lullaby's Melissa plays on guitar.

 

 

January Kids Club Events at The Commons at Calabasas

Every Tuesday at 6pm on the community stage - a weekly dose of fun, including music, dance, arts, crafts, entertainment and more!  

January 13: Music with Randy 

Randy is a new performer with some great tunes for young and old.

January 20: Magic for Kids  

This Magic Castle performer has tricks and illusions that set him apart from the rest, with lots of audience participation.

January 27: Family Comedy and Juggling

Join us to see David juggle three bowling balls and play a banjo while talking on the phone.

Plus, every Monday at Barnes & Noble is story time at 10:30am.
