A Bone Marrow Registration Drive is Being Held This Sunday
Kimberly Haim is holding a drive at her home in honor of Allison Zicree.
She is a 14 month old baby girl who was diagnosed with AML M7, a rare form
of leukemia.  Without a bone marrow transplant, she will die.  Getting
yourself registered is simple.  You simply swab the inside of your mouth
with 4 q-tips and you are done.  It does not hurt and it does not cost you a

PUPPET TEARS
The Santa Monica Puppetry Center is closing!! Final Performance of
Puppetolio Will be Sunday August 16 at 2:00p.m.
After more than a dozen years in three locations, the Santa Monica Puppetry
Center is the latest casualty of the economic downturn.  They have lasted
this long only because of the extreme patience of the property owner who,
continued to believe that he would find ways to survive the loss of revenue
from the drop off in school shows and private parties.  Everyone is very
sorry about this development but also very grateful for the long run it had
and all the wonderful audience members who made him feel that he had the
greatest job in the world.

Katie's Cooking School in Encino
Now offering just three more weeks of its exciting cooking camps for kids
5-14.  All summer the campers have been on a virtual tour of the US and
learned some history and geography along with the regional cuisine wherever
we stopped.  Next week they reach the Rockies and get to prepare about a
dozen recipes from the mountain states' present and past.  One day they'll

The Remote Area Medical ("RAM") team and over 500 volunteer doctors the

patients the RAM team may plan to serve. We need your help! They are still
in need of volunteers in some service areas, particularly in optometry,
ophthalmology, dentistry, general medical and nursing.  If you have
colleagues and friends in these specialties, please encourage them to
attend.  They can always use non-medical support volunteers, also.  Since
the start of the event is upon us, new volunteers need not send in the
application forms, but should come to The Forum on the day they wish to
volunteer and complete the registration process when they arrive. With an
estimated 47 million people in the United States uninsured, this opportunity
is right on time and much needed. Help make a difference. Medical volunteers
