LA Diaper Drive 
It was started as a way to help low-income moms in LA who are forced to choose every day whether to buy food or buy diapers.  LA Diaper Drive is a group of mothers and their friends who provide diapers to low-income moms in the Los Angeles area.  No one takes a salary. They are all volunteers.  And it's making a difference in the lives of others. Mother's Day is May 11th and LA Diaper Drive wants to make it extra-special for low-income moms in LA. They are asking for your tax-deductible donation that will go directly to the purchase of discounted diapers.  Every dollar is needed, and any contribution will help. Here are some of the ways we are currently distributing diapers:  
1)  Every Mother's Day, they provide a month's worth of diapers to 100 low-income women delivering babies at Women's and Children's Hospital at LA County/USC Medical Center through Angel Interfaith Network's Project Angel. 
2)  They provide diapers to low-income moms who attend a series of classes on nutrition, discipline, school readiness, and other important parenting skills through Catholic Charities' Brownsen House in Boyle Heights.  
3)  They partner with Friends of the Family to provide diapers year round to parents ages 13-21 who participate in the Young Moms/Young Dads program, a comprehensive parent education and personal development program that teaches job training and family planning, as well as providing support so young parents can complete high school and attend college.
4) They provide diapers to homeless mothers through organizations such as the Los Angeles Homeless Shelter Authority and Project Safe.
5)  Their  newest partner is Beyond Shelter, a non-profit that helps homeless families move into affordable housing and rebuild their lives.  They have an unheard of 85% success rate (after 7 years the family has remained stable and is not homeless.) 
Please help make this Mother's Day a better one for those mothers who need your help.  The discounted diaper price allows them to buy a one-day supply of diapers for one newborn for about $1.  That means a $30 donation provides one newborn with diapers for one month.  $120 will provide four newborns with a month's supply of diapers (that's probably how much you spent on coffee last month!).  $510 will supply 17 newborns with a month's worth of diapers.  Any contribution is greatly appreciated.  Just ask us and they will provide you with a Mother's Day card to turn your donation into a Mother's Day gift. Gavin Rossdale usually comes out to play and Gwen has been there with him before the baby, with her baby in the belly, and at the last event with her baby out of the belly and in the stroller.  Maybe this year the little offspring of amazing musicians will show up with a  pint sized tennis racquet  just like daddy's in his little hand.  Lindsay Davenport came last year to the party the night before. The great thing about this event is the cause that grants wishes to siblings of severely handicapped children. 
This very sensitive cause is a favorite with many NFL players who come out just to enjoy the day and hang out with Joe Sweet, a wonderful ex footballer.

Sweet Doggie Needs a Home
Was found by a gas station - Arvin(Labmix w/some spaniel and bull terrier)is SO affectionate.  He wants to squirm and lick kids, great with the other animals (submissive and friendly) and just love to cuddle on your for pets. He's had his tune up (neutered, shots, deworm, bath etc).  Vet says he's lab mix with some spaniel even probably with some bull terrier.  About 6-7 months old. Will probably be about a 45 pound dog.  SUPER sweet.  Probably never on leash or anything (cuz he was confused by it at first) but let me man handle him with no trouble and was a champ on the 2.5 hour car ride through the blistering heat.  So far we've had NO accidents in the house, he enjoys the kitty and my older dog, and LOVES to take all his doggy toys out of the box and share them with you.  If you know anyone interested, please let me know.  I'll try to get better photos in the next two days!
