There is a little boy in preschool at Woodland Hills Private School whose father past away of a heart attack last Sunday.  He was 39.  The little boy's birthday was this weekend. His birthday party that was planned was cancelled, but the teachers are having a birthday party for him in class today. This is so very sad. His mother is obviously in shock and doing all she can to keep it together.  She has her own business which has been her dream but now has to find another job to support herself and Evan.  The school is collecting donations to help pay for tuition, funeral costs and so on.  If anyone is interested in sending a donation or something, please sent to:

Lice(ICK!)
There is a huge epidemic of lice right now.  Please be aware that you really can't see lice unless your hair is wet and conditioned... and you actually use the comb to go through it.  If parents don't comb through EVERY day for 3 days that they could miss just one tiny egg or one little bug and then it all starts over again.  The eggs (before they hatch) are almost impossible to see... they are a lightish brown/grey and blend in with roots of the hair by the scalp... They don't turn white until they hatch... Chime Charter Elementary annual Carnival and Silent Auction

Chime Charter is located in Woodland Hills. It is an inclusive setting in which children who are gifted, typically developing, and who have special needs are all educated side-by-side in the same classroom.  The philosophy is that all children are regarded as special, each offering their own unique skills, strengths and talents. This is a free, public school with entrance determined by lottery.  Many of the wonderful programs this school offers its students are funded by the carnival and silent auction.  They need donations to make it a success.
