Live In Lead
I would love to help my live in nanny housekeeper find a great position . Irma is a mature women who I hired temporarily while I looked for the right person and she ended up working for me for almost a year! Her work ethic is endless and she is absolutely WONDERFUL with babies, Ella adores her and will be heartbroken to see her leave so I will try to have her work for me some weekends if possible.... If you ask her to get up at 7 she is ready for you at 6 - she stays up till the dishes are clean in the kitchen and the kids are asleep. If I go out at night she stays upstairs the whole time outside the kids'rooms- even when I tell her not too! She is always available for extra work on the weekends and is legal so she can travel .There is no attitude with her and she is very loving to all children and very respectful of myself and my husband .. Irma is a mature women age wise although I am not sure what her exact age is and she told me that she did do a red cross CPR training at her former job that she was at for 14 years. Irma does NOT speak English so she is best in a home with a little baby as it is hard for older children to connect with her . Irma does not drive and Her understanding of English is also quite limited so she would be best for a family that has a member that speaks some Spanish ... I pay her $450/ week which after working with many agencies is, I think, a great deal for someone who is legal and has experience....she will be available after the 20th of this month but available to interview as of this Friday ... I found Irma through my friend Sheri and you can also call her for a reference ....818 222 1299 - my email address is hjten at sbcglobal.net. Thank you so much, Jodi

Important warning to all DOG OWNERS
Xylitol (an ingredient in gum and mints) can kill dogs. I am copying the e-mail that was sent to me from someone whose dog died after eating mints from her purse. I checked snopes and there is nothing there, BUT on the ASPCA website it does confirm the following:
http://www.aspca.org/site/PageServer?pagename=pro_apcc_news082106
Dear Family and Friends:
I am sending out this email in the hopes that the information I am about to give will help many people.
On Sunday night John & I had to put down our beloved Chocolate Lab mix, Tara, as she suddenly for no apparent reason started to have seizures and then became comatose. It was not until the next evening during a conversation with our own vet that I mentioned to her that I found a empty container of Xylitol breath mints in the back yard which she had chewed into and eaten all the mints, our vet gasped and said that Xylitol is deadly for animals. Apparently, it causes their blood sugar level to drop rapidly, they become hypoglycemic, liver failure and various other symptoms among which were the ones I just mentioned. She told us that they have been seeing this over the past year when Xylitol started showing up in our foods it was in Europe before this. It is a sugarless substitute, which normally I never use, but it is supposedly good for humans protecting teeth (it is in toothpaste) lowering glucose all sorts of things, it is used for cooking, one dog died after eating 4 cupcakes that had icing on them containing Xylitol. Unfortunately, labeling cannot read dangerous for animals...it can say \'not recommended for animals' which was not on this packaging but is going to be in the future (I spoke with the company that makes the mints). I do not know if it is on all products containing Xylitol. If you need confirmation on this check with your vet.
The purpose of this email is to send it on to as many people as possible so that the word is out as to the danger of the drug. Other foods that are deadly to animals are: chocolate; grapes; raisins; macadamia nuts; onions; garlic and alcohol (some people actually give their dogs beer). Thank you, everyone for doing this, maybe our loss will help others.
Luv & hugs,
Pamla & John Abramson
