ARE YOU READY FOR KINDERGARTEN?
“Are You Ready for Kindergarten?” prepares you and your child for that first day. You will receive information, tips and suggestions that will help

Help you ensure your child has a positive start to his/her educational years.

HAVE YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED BY EXPERTS ON KINDERGARTEN READINESS:

• Should my child be reading by the time she/he enters kindergarten?

• What do educator’s mean when they say the program is developmental?

• How do I know if my child is really ready for kindergarten?

• What should I be looking for in a Kindergarten program?

• Will my child’s English studies be compromised in a bilingual program?

Kindergarten is an exciting time for a child. As parents, we want to make sure our children are ready for what comes next educationally, emotionally, and developmentally.

USING CELL PHONES TO CALL FOR HELP
In the city of Los Angeles (and most surrounding areas) calling 911 from a cell phone may not get you the help you need when you need it. Landlines are ALWAYS better for the police or fire department to locate you, and get there more quickly. Cell phone calls are plotted on a map, but it\'s not the exact location - usually within a few hundred YARDS! Also, you'll get through to the correct entity faster calling from a landline. When calling from a cell phone, your call is directed based on where the nearest cell tower is, which could be miles away from you, causing multiple transfers. Tell your loved ones that they NEED a landline in their home!!If you MUST call from a cell phone - ALWAYS know where you are, what the nearest cross street is and if possible, what direction - if you are driving.
