My daughter is starting preschool this September so we will not be needing our nanny full time. She's so incredible that last time she was available she got over 40 job offers so I'm not concerned about her finding work. I'm wondering how I can still keep her. I'm hoping that there's another family that would need her Monday-Friday from the morning until around 4 or 5 so I could still have her pick up my daughter from school and get her squared away at home. Lily is AMAZING. She's legal, speaks fluent English and French, drives a safe RAV4, is super smart, amazing with kids and she's so alert and security conscious that I've always felt as if my daughter has had a personal bodyguard. Even my neighbors comment on how wonderful she is. She used to run a montessori school so she's great with teaching and setting schedules and is a genius at mealtime. She takes care of everything and anything. If you're looking for someone to work mornings until 4 or 5 in the afternoon Monday through Friday in the Valley that would be the perfect situation. You get someone fantastic and we still get to keep her. If you're interested please email me at thewmshow at aol.com.

Mari provided day-care for our (4) year old daughter and (1) year old son. The help Mari provided us as a nanny and a house-keeper has been invaluable. When our daughter begins full-time pre-school this Fall, we need to end Mari's employment to balance our budget. We cannot continue to pay for Mari's employment past Sep'08, but are committed to continue to employ her until then. In the meantime, we are in the process of working to find her a new family for employment. If she has any opportunities arise between now and then, we can make arrangements to end her employment sooner to accommodate this. As to her services, we cannot recommend her highly enough. She is a very concerned and loving nanny for the children, as well as a diligent and thorough cleaning lady. The only points of concern are that she does not have a car, but was always reliable and punctual using the bus, and does not have strong english skills, but was more than effective in her job at communicating w/ our broken spanish. She has been working for us in Woodland HIlls Mon - Fri for (10) hour days beginning around 7am for a weekly salary of $500. To speed her travel and our morning departure, we also provided a pick-up and drop-off from her bus stop. If you are interested in contacting her for her services, please feel free to contact us via phone or email so that we may help you make an arrangement. Thanks, Lorena (818)347-5242

Be Totally Free!
Group to help people overcome emotional eating, eating disorders, obesity and addictions. On Sunday nights they offer a program called "Metasteps to Freedom" that addresses the underlying issues surrounding emotional eating. The talks are informative, substantive, and don't deal with diets or weight loss, but rather the life issues that cause women to abuse food as a means of coping with life's stressors. They deal with topics such as "people-pleasing", "self-expression", "stress", "emotional balance" and many other topics that anyone struggling with food can identify with. Held in West LA from 7pm-9pm and are very reasonable. They offer a lot of love and support that makes a world of difference to those who think they are "the only ones" fighting the food racket. No diets, tricks or gimmicks included. Workshop cost: $30. Info, RSVP: Tricia Greaves, 310-281-8831 / www.betotallyfree.com
