We are so sad to let her go, and we are looking for a wonderful, loving home for her to work in. She is very honest, reliable and caring. She does not drive, but knows the bus system very well. She was always working. She's looking for full-time work Monday-Friday between 8-6. Her English is fair. I never had a problem conversing with her. She currently doesn't drive. GREAT Daycare in the Sherman Oaks area!!
Passed along from a list member:
I currently have my daughter (22 months) at Sara's Kessel's Daycare, sarakess at yahoo.com, at Woodman and Burbank (818-590-1798). My son who is almost four also went there for 2 years. I originally found Sara\'s from a recommended list generated by the human resources department at Cedar's Sinai. I believe I looking into at least 10 daycares and choose Sara\'s. Many daycare\'s won\'t allow part time and she\'s wonderful in that regard. Sara and her staff are excellent with the children. The ratio is amazing (usually about 4:1). Her lead teacher, Ziva is from the JCC in Sherman Oaks. And there is always a third person on staff to clean and help with the children and diaper change. They make all the meals for the kids and the families that go there are wonderful. I feel my children have really been lucky to be socialized with a variety of ethnicities and to have been exposed to two additional languages. Sara and Ziva are Israeli and the assistant is often Spanish. That said when my son was a delayed in speech they always spoke to him in English. The daycare does wonderful art projects, and has three outside teachers a week. They have a gymnastics/movement class, a sing along guitarist, and an animal trainer. I started my son as we were planning to get pregnant with our second. I felt it would help his adjustment to a sibling to be in a group setting. I believe it helped with his sister and of course adjusting to pre-school was a breeze. We aren\'t from LA. and I didn\'t want full time help in our home. I\'ve only sent my children part time. But when I was put on bedrest and needed my son to go full time till I gave birth. In a phone call I had a solution. Not to mention Sara offered to take our son when we went to the hospital to give birth. I cried when we left and went to go to a respected pre-school in the valley. The care at pre-school didn't come close to the wonder that is Sara's Pitzponiem. For more reference info, contact Andi Carnick Schoffman at 310-350-4960 or acarnick at roadrunner.com

WAYS TO GET RID OF TELEMARKETERS - ACCORDING TO ANDY ROONEY!
I don't know about you but telemarketers are sooooo annoying so when I read this I thought it was great advice to share with the "click"!
(1)The three little words to know are: 'Hold On, Please...' Saying this, while putting down your phone and walking off (instead of hanging-up
immediately) would make each telemarketing call so much more time-consuming that boiler room sales would grind to a halt. Then when you eventually hear the phone company's 'beep-beep-beep' tone, you know it's time to go back and hang up your handset, which has efficiently completed its task. These three little words will help eliminate telephone soliciting.
(2) Do you ever get those annoying phone calls with no one on the other end? This is a telemarketing technique where a machine makes phone calls and records the time of day when a person answers the phone. This technique is used to determine the best time of day for a 'real' sales person to call back and get someone at home. What you can do after answering, if you notice there is no one there, is to immediately start hitting your # button on the phone, 6 or 7 times, as quickly as possible. This confuses the machine that dialed the call and it kicks your number out of their system. Gosh, what a shame not to have your name in their system any longer!
(3) Junk Mail Help: When you get 'ads' enclosed with your phone or utility bill, return these 'ads' with your payment. Let the sending companies throw their own junk mail away. When you get those 'pre-approved' letters in the mail for everything from credit cards to 2nd mortgages and similar type junk, do not throw away the return envelope. Most of these come with postage-paid return envelopes, right? It costs them more than the regular 37 cents postage 'IF' and when they receive them back. It costs them nothing if you throw them away! The postage was around 50 cents before the last increase and it is according to the weight. In that case, why not get rid of some of your other junk mail and put it in these cool little, postage-paid return envelopes.
The banks and credit card companies are currently getting a lot of their own junk back in the mail, but folks, we need to OVERWHELM them. Let's let them know what it's like to get lots of junk mail, and best of all they're paying for it...Twice! Let's help keep our postal service busy since they are saying that e-mail is cutting into their business profits, and that's why they need to increase postage costs again. You get the idea ! If enough people follow these tips, it will work .
