The Pajama Program
In the city of Los Angeles, there are hundreds of children living in group homes. These children don't get to snuggle up at night for a bedtime story or a special tuck in with their moms and dads. In fact, many of these children don't even have a warm pair of pajamas to call their own.
Two Valley moms want to help. But they need your help! As part of the Pajama Program (you may have seen this organization on Oprah), they are throwing a "Pajama Party". Come by and drop off a NEW pair of PJs (the biggest need is for kids 13-18), have a cup of cocoa and teach your kids a lesson about giving. They will also arrange for alternative drop off dates if you are not available on the 26th. They will then personally take all of the pajamas collected to a group home that has been selected by the Pajama Program located right here in the valley. Let's collect as many pajamas as we can so the children of L.A. can all have a cozy winter! For more info about the Pajama Program, go to www.pajamaprogram.org or email nicole.lake at sbcglobal.net or amandars at gmail.com.

Sessions held Pasadena loft or on location, depending on the client's preferences. Wedding, boudoir, pregnancy, birthing, baby, family photogrpahy packages offered but have also recently expanded to include "A day in the Life" sessions - These are a way to document birthday gatherings, every day experience or a fun adventure! Unleash your imagination. Sessions can be catered toward a special event, but often the daily activities are what are most precious. Capture a typical day so that you may remember the small moments, those we often overlook. Breakfast, story time, the bath, family dinner, a walk to the park or pool. and let's not forget the myriad of emotions your little one experiences each day. Favorites from the session are then bound in a custom book. Attached are a few photographs to show what a typical day might look like...

Boudoir sessions also available. (www.skyebluboudoir.com). There are many galleries as well as information regarding what they are all about; reviews are also posted on the rates page showing what they can do for confidence and self acceptance. These sessions are SO fun, and are really wonderful for self esteem and finding one's beauty. As moms, we often put ourselves last and these sessions give women some time to feel beautiful. The day includes hair and makeup (to feel pampered!), along with a full photo shoot. Negatives are always given, along with prints. Sessions are catered toward the client's comfort level, but always show their form in a beautiful light...

SLEEP MY BABY SLEEP:
CUSTOMIZED HEART TONE AMBIENT AUDIO CD'S TO HELP BABIES SLEEP! First Ever!
A CD full of ambient music with the addition of an infant heart tone in the background. The value of the CD as it is includes not only the musical arrangement, but the heart tone actually helps regulates the newborn brain through internal rhythm setting. Now, you can get YOUR baby's own heart tone on the CD. The goal is to get the baby's heart tone recorded while the baby is in utero, so the CD is available to parents right out of the hospital or immediately after the birth. Your baby will be even more soothed by hearing the heart tone he or she has been listening to for the entire time in womb! These unique and individualized CD's are undoubtedly going to be a huge help to babies struggling with regulating their sleep patterns. Dr. Harvey Karp (Happiest Baby on the Block) himself states that the most calming sound to a newborn is the heartbeat that they heard in the womb. As well, there is much research to support the importance of regulating the brain for successful and plentiful sleep. These would also make fabulous gifts for grandparents, extended family, etc. to get an audio sneak peak of the baby they are going to meet! The founder and creator of the Sleep My Baby Sleep CD, and this innovative idea of customizing the CD's is Stephen Paul Dix, who is a talented musician, and a stay home father to his two young boys. They offer different packages to fit anybody's budget. Check out the website for more information: http://www.sleepmybabysleep.com.

Momspace latest blog entry - Very funny!
Here is my top 10 list of signs you may not be taking care of yourself as you deserve:
1. You find yourself borrowing your husband's cologne because you've run out of perfume (I actually did this the other day)
2. You haven't set foot in the gym since the summer of 2005
3. You have taken to storing a tube of cookie dough in the freezer, which you gnaw on periodically in times of stress
4. In your fatigued state, you tell your husband that "Mommy is coming'' when he calls you from another room.
5. You were so grateful for your last pedicure that you tipped the manicurist $20
6. When coworkers were discussing "atonement'' at work, your first thought was that they had all converted to Christianity.
7. Your youngest is three, and you have yet to hire a babysitter for an evening out.
8. Your dentist doesn't recognize your name, and says they have no information about you on file.
9. Instead of using that department store gift card from Grandma for a shopping spree at Zara, you use it at Gymboree instead.
10. Once a worldwide traveler, you are seriously considering cashing in your air miles for a family vacation to Disneyworld.
