As much as I would love to help, because I am sure you would all like to offer amazing deals on your used items, I have had to say "no" to listing anything used. I am so sorry. If I do it once, it just starts a precedent that I am trying to get away from. For a while, I was listing used items for sale, then it got out of control and I started to feel like craigslist! I am thinking that perhaps maybe doing something once a month, of postings to include all items for sale, may be beneficial for everyone, since buying from someone you "know" is always better than a stranger, but still trying to figure out those logistics.

I happy to post any referral items I get, however please allow 5-7 days to see your request in the daily newsletter.

Winnie the Pooh Day 
Always January 18th - Winnie the Pooh Day is an opportunity to enjoy your favorite bear and all of his friends. This day was created to celebrate the birth of A.A .Milne in 1882. A story worth reading from a list member
Earlier today I was rushing like most to get out of the house with my son and realized after I pulled out of our garage I left my cell phone on my coffee table. I pulled up to the back of our home in the ally (our front door is 25 feet from the ally) and ran into the house to retrieve it and left him in the car with the doors locked and windows up.  I was gone for LITERALLY about 45 seconds and returned to the car and sped off. I took him to the park. Apparently, while I ran inside of my home, my license plate was noted by a neighbor and called into theSanta Monica Police Department for Child neglect and endangerment.  The Santa Monica Police Dept proceeded to interview 3 out of 4 of my neighbors about my ability to parent while I was out at the park.  They came with a long list of questions and concerns and shared them with my neighbors.  So unaware of this, at about 3PM, as I was playing with my son on the couch, the Santa Monica Police Dept shows up at my door letting me know that they had a report called in for child neglect and they had to investigate us and child protective service would be involved. At this point I am frozen in fear, teary and shaking with the police in my living room accusing me of being a bad parent and scaring the !@#$ out of me.  Freaking out I of pleaded my case not knowing that this is illegal.  I knew it was wrong when I ran into the house and left Cooper but not illegal.  I was given a notice type citation and had to call the SGT of the Santa Monica police Dept and plead my case.  After review they have decided to not file a report and send it into Social Services. I just want you all to know you never know who is watching and that small errand in the store or that quick trip back into the house or post office, coupled with someone who has nothing better to do is a dangerous combination. All they need is a license plate number to track you down and scare the !@#$ out of you.  Please be warned and I hope nobody ever has to go through this - Charmaine

Can anybody rescue or foster these two little dogs?!  
A woman found them wandering the streets this past Friday night and took them in but can't keep them. They are very attached so they can't be separated (the little black and brown one who is only a puppy - maybe 5 or so months - cries when the blond one is out of her site.) Stir Crazy Kidz:  Where cool kids cook!
January is exciting:  They are offering pasta making from scratch for the first time!  Instead of fixed hour classes on Mon. Weds. & Fri., they are allowing kidz to book their 1 ½ to 2 hour time slot.  Because the class size now averages 3 - 4 kidz, they can be flexible.  They have created and chosen menus and recipes which fit into these timeframes to complete and eat. I knew no one when I moved to Santa Monica (I am from Westlake Village) after I got married in Sept. 2000. That is why I started this group. I would go to The Pump Station when our first was born to meet moms and it was not easy to meet people in L.A.
