Since we are moving, our nanny, Isabel needs a new position. She would prefer to care for a newborn/infant, but is open. She is an amazing asset to new parents. Here is a short letter about her. Isabel has been with our family since 2006 when our son was four months old. When we first met her, we knew immediately that Isabel was just what we were looking for in a nanny. There was an instant connection between her and our son that could not be denied. When our son was an infant, he was generally fussy for much of the day. Isabel was exceedingly patient and understanding. She was even able to get him on a nap and feeding schedule without a problem. As new parents, she not only cared for our son, but she also provided us with much needed support and guidance. Isabel has always engaged and interacted with our son in a loving, caring, and stimulating manner. She offers age appropriate activities, and encourages him to develop his cognitive and physical skills. She has been instrumental in shaping him into the happy, well adjusted, and intelligent child that he is today. We are so grateful that Isabel has been a part of our family. She has touched our lives, and her generous spirit will always be with us. If we were not moving out of the area, we would keep her forever. Her next family will be very lucky to have her. She is seeking a full time position M-F. Her desired salary is $15-$16 with paid days off. Please e-mail me or call me at 818-231-1276 with any questions. Thank you, Yo Pagni - Yopagni at aol.com
AND
Our fun and loving nanny/housekeeper has been with us for the past 2-1/2 years, and my children adore her -- but our needs have changed and we no longer need her help. We think she is wonderful and want to help her find a nice family that will appreciate her the way we do. She is great with babies, toddlers and preschoolers. She cleans our whole house while the kids are sleeping, and she's helpful in many other ways too. She's very trustworthy, a nice person and has good common sense. We are sorry we can't keep her ourselves, but we hope that we can find her a new home where she will be equally appreciated. She speaks excellent English, is a US Citizen, has a car, has recent CPR training, recent TB test (negative), and we ran a thorough background check on her before hiring her 2-1/2 years ago. She is looking for full-time work during the week, but may have some flexibility. She is available for work in Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Encino, Van Nuys or Chatsworth. We have been paying her $15 per hour, and I believe she is hoping to make the same in her next position. If you are interested or would like to know more, you can call me at (818) 986-5950. Thanks, Alexandra Alexandra at iName.com

Rosaura has been working for us for a year and we love her very much! Our needs have changed and we regret that we must cut her hours down significantly. She really does need to work full time. Her duties for us have been heavy cleaning and cooking our meals. She looks after our 3 year old a few hours a week, but mostly housekeeping duties. She is a great house cleaner! Excellent cook too! She is looking for a full time position but would consider part time too. She lives in the West Valley and drives to and from work. She would not be available to transport children though. You can reach her at 818-923-1374. If you would like a reference, please call Laura at 818-427-1945.
Nanny Alert
Posted by Erin Gordon - "I've never done this before and I don't know if I have enough information to make a difference here. All I know is that if this was my nanny I would certainly want to know. So I hope this helps...While at the Northridge Mall this afternoon I witnessed a girl playing in the play area while her "nanny" slept. She was actually asleep. These play areas are not enclosed and the girl could easily have slipped out and been long gone before her nanny woke up to notice. I didn't get any names, unfortunately. But here is a description of the girl: About 4 years old. She was either Hispanic or Asian- with dark hair in a ponytail. She had a long sleeved pink shirt that read "Look For The Bare Necessities" from the Jungle Book. Blue jeans with pink embroideries. When they left she put on a white fuzzy jacket and a Disney princess backpack. The nanny was wearing a bright green goose-down like vest jacket and carrying a gold purse. With two small kids of my own I've experienced how quickly they can get out of your sight. And if a nanny is falling asleep in a public place what could they be doing in your home when no one is watching? Thanks, erin at yourlastlooks.com"

CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE ON NUTRITION
COMMIT FOR A WEEKEND, THRIVE FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. The "experts" say 70% to 90% of whether you succeed or fail in any body composition change depends on your eating habits. There are over 30,000 (Fad) diets registered with the FDA.If any of them worked we would ALL be on it and we would ALL be in great shape.
Einstein once said "the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, yet expecting different results". Paul DeBellis represents the National College of Exercise Professionals (NCEP). He is a Holistic Personal Trainer/ Holistic Nutritionist and invites you to experience a weekend of nutrition on a holistic level. By the end you will have a good understanding of why calories mean little to nothing in weight management, and so much more. They cover topics such as:
** your body's pH balance and how important it is to health,
**milk and how it actually leads to osteoporosis as opposed to preventing it,
** soy and the hormonal impact it's having on your body- whether you are a 60 year old or 13.
March 1st and 2nd - Class is limited to the first 25 people - Contact Paul DeBellis at 805-448-7616 or paullyd33 at hotmail.com
