Sports class for 3+ year olds(boys AND girls) in the valley/city!
My 3 yr old twins are starting a class on Thur.'s at 12:30pm-1:30pm at Knapp Ranch Park in Woodland Hills. My older son took the class for about 1 1/2 years and loved it and I could not wait for the middle boys to start. There are a TON of other classes starting all over the valley and city, so check the website for more info and locations. New classes and reg. sign ups will be posted tomorrow morning on the site, Aug. 22nd. Classes are for 3-4 1/2 yrs old and 4 1/2-6. The teachers are terrific and the kids love it. The Thur. class that we are taking is perfect timing for the 12pm pick up from preschool! Classes will begin the week of Sept 8th. Class size is limited - first come, first serve, so sign up NOW! Jason's Race
On March 11, 2008, four-month-old Jason Allen Lutz passed away due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). In order to do something positive in Jason's memory, his family is hosting a 5K walk/run. As you may be aware, SIDS is the sudden, unexpected death of an infant that remains unexplained after all known and possible causes have been ruled out. It is the number one cause of death for infants one month to one year of age, claiming the lives of 2,100 babies in the United States each year. Historically SIDS has been a mystery, leaving behind devastated families and bewildered physicians. Today, we are beginning to find some answers--such as factors that increase the risks for SIDS and actions that parents can take to reduce those risks. This event will help raise SIDS awareness, and all proceeds will benefi t SIDS research.
