These dogs need a home
Freedom has a kind and gentle nature, typical of his breed, and Liberty, who is also friendly, appears to be a little more naively impetuous in his attempts to explore the outside world. They were found in downtown Los Angeles. They were observed using the crosswalk when the arrow changed just as other pedestrians began to cross, but not before.  On top of this, the pair has unconscionably endured cruelty through neglect because they both had an extensive case of mange leading to the loss of approximately 80% of their fur on their back halves and calloused skin near their leg joints.  Additionally, Liberty's ribs were starting to show and while still active, he was emaciated. Forte Animal Rescue intervened and has rescued these "brothers" from the pound.  They are receiving the proper medical care that they need. With good care and nutrition, their coats will grow back.  Because of their mangy appearance, the pound noted they were 8 years old, however, through the veterinary exams, they discovered that they are only about 2 years old!  These are two gorgeous purebred dogs with no mean bone in their bodies! After all they've been through, they are so bonded and would love to be adopted together.  Thanks to the caring people who caught them at the courthouse, they were rescued from the street.  They now deserve someone who is compassionate and responsible to commit to their wellbeing throughout their lifetime - They urgently need a foster, or better, a forever home.
