Volunteers Needed for Medical Weight Loss Study
Research continues to look for ways to improve overall health through weight loss and weight management. A study is currently taking place that combines monitored investigational medication with diet and exercise to reduce one's Body Mass Index and improve overall healthy lifestyle. Truth be told, at the end of the day, it's not really about image, it's about health. The images strewn across today's supermarket racks and T.V.s are no different than the curvy voluminous Rubenesque pics of the past, both point out the beauty of the moment. However, the Beauty of Health is Timeless. Today over 60 million people in the United States are considered significantly overweight. Being overweight can cause serious health risks such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, stroke and sleep apnea. A new research weight loss study combines investigational medication maintained by a physician with a trained dietitian and a healthy living program all at no cost to the participant. The purpose is to drop the weight and to maintain a healthy living regiment.
The Healthy Lifestyle Program is a personalized weight management program for participants in the clinical research study. In this study medical personnel and a highly trained dietician will work hand-in-hand to support you in developing lifestyle practices that can help you lose weight and maintain that loss. The program will focus on fitting healthy eating and moderate physical activity into your daily life. It complements your medical care by helping you to develop skills that will continue to be helpful to you when the study is over. All participants in this study will have the chance to benefit from the Healthy Lifestyle Program.
As a Participant in the Healthy Lifestyle Program you can expect:
A personalized approach to Weight management
Recommendations will be tailored to your lifestyle
Do You or Someone you Know Qualify?
Is your BMI between 30-45 kg/m2
http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bmicalc.htm
Are you between the ages of 18 and 65?
Not suffering from Diabetes type I or type II
Considered to be in stable health
Does it Cost anything to join this Study? No, It costs nothing. All Medications, tests, exams that are part of the study are provided to you at no cost. Travel expenses for the study appointments are also reimbursed.
What Would I have to do? Study participants agree to 5 visits over a 52 week time frame. It is important that all visits are maintained for effective results. All visits are made at the participant's availability. Participants will be required to follow the instructions of the highly trained medical personal.
What are the Benefits of this study? Professionally monitored weight loss from the study physician and trained dietician. You will be provided with the tools and knowledge to continue weight loss and overall healthy weight management.
