How to Look Good Naked - hosted by Carson Kressly wants Moms!
Moms that work hard and give everything to their kids and don't take any time for themselves OR moms that are thinking about going back to work and need a little help getting back into the swing of things OR single moms! MOMS MOMS MOMS MOMS MOMS! If you don't know about this show... it is amazing! How To Look Good Naked is a transformational television show teaching women how to love themselves from the inside out. This is NOT a diet show and they are not giving plastic surgery. What they are going to do is teach you how to love yourself completely...TODAY. Just imagine how your life would change if you could stop obsessing about that last 5 lbs. and start flaunting what you've got! Not looking for ladies that have HUGE WEIGHT ISSUES... I am looking for ladies that have BODY IMAGE ISSUES. You can be a size 6-8-10-12-14 or 16 and have issues. This is not a Weight loss show! This is an IMAGE MAKEOVER show! It is totally fine if your issue is weight, but it is also okay if your issue is that you feel like you don't take care of yourself and have completely let yourself go since you've had kids. Pregnant woman ok too! MOMS deserve look and feel good everyday of the year! Maybe it is you or maybe you want to nominate someone else for this incredible life changing experience. If you have never seen the show, episodes are on line at: http://www.mylifetime.com/on-tv/shows/how-look-good-naked. If you or someone you know is interested, email Kat katrapheal at yahoo.com at and let her know you got the info from me!

"Promote the Vote, Protect the Vote"
The National Council of Jewish Women/Los Angeles (NCJW/LA) Announces a voter registration drive in honor of the 88th anniversary of the 19th amendment to the Constitution granting women the right to vote. Our foremothers in NCJW played a role in winning that cherished right for women. Decades later, NCJW advocates fought hard for the historic Voting Rights Act to end discrimination in voting and more recently, NCJW supported legislation to remove barriers to voting through the Help America Vote Act. NCJW understands that voting is the cornerstone of our democracy. Commencing Tuesday, April 9, 2008 through May 19, 2008 any qualified citizen may register to vote at our offices. If you have moved, changed your name or a first time voter you may register at our location: 543 North Fairfax Avenue, one block south of Melrose. Hours are: Monday thru Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
NCJW/LA is a non-sectarian, non-profit volunteer organization that has been at the forefront of social change for over a century. NCJW/LA takes a progressive stance on issues such as child welfare, women's rights and reproductive freedom

Take Action Against Puppy Mills
Fight against those who put profits ahead of compassion. Help us bring an end to puppy mills. "The Oprah Winfrey Show" aired an exposé on puppy mills that no doubt horrified everyone who watched. Undercover footage showed dogs in filthy, overcrowded conditions, where they are confined for their entire lives, without human companionship or adequate veterinary care. These dogs are often killed once their reproductive capacity wanes. The HSUS has been investigating and fighting against puppy mills for decades. With your help, we can advance our fight to stop puppy mills and the tragic consequences of pet overpopulation. The puppy mill industry will thrive as long as consumers are kept in the dark about the "mass production" of purebred and designer dogs. With your help, you can shed light on the cruelty of puppy mills and put them out of business for good. Sign the Stop Puppy Mills pledge: https://community.hsus.org:443/campaign/stoppuppymills_april_2008/wedix5w2v7bjkx6j?
Here's what else you can do right now:
If you are thinking of bringing a new dog into the family, or know someone who is, request a free copy of our puppy buyer's guide for information on how to find reputable breeders, shelters, and rescue groups. http://www.stoppuppymills.org/forms/free_puppy_buyers_guide.html
Ask your federal legislators to crack down on puppy mills. https://community.hsus.org:443/campaign/puppymills_oprah/wedix5w2v7bjkx6j?
Get the word out about puppy mills: write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper. Visit StopPuppyMills.org to educate yourself. http://www.stoppuppymills.org/
Download one of our Stop Puppy Mills campaign badges or banners to your own MySpace or Facebook page, blog, or website. http://www.stoppuppymills.org/add_a_banner_to_your_web_page.html

Download Puppy Mill Cruelty flyers and post them or give them out at your neighborhood dog park, to engage fellow dog owners and help spread the word. http://www.stoppuppymills.org/pdfs/PuppyMillCrueltyFlyer.pdf
