Amazing Optometry Experience in the Valley
Last weekend, I had somewhat of an eye emergency and showed up on the doorstep of the 1st eye doc that I could find with Sat. hours. While he got me through the weekend, I knew that something was still wrong. Yes, I have an Ophthalmologist, but also remembered that a friend of mine's hubby was an Optometrist and called to see if I could just talk to him about what was going on. He was so sweet & talked to me over the phone. I went to see him yesterday and was very happy with the customer service rec'd, from the moment I walked in the door, dealing with the front, to Dr. Alperts professionalism and since I needed to update my glasses/contacts, I did that too as the selection to choose from was amazing. They take almost every single eye insurance and some health insurances too. I know there are a lot of places to go, but I felt so comfortable and taken care of in his office, its clean, easily accessible, so I just had to pass along the info! If you do go in, mention that you found him through me!
Here is a little about Dr. Alpert:
Dr. Alpert graduated from the New England Colledge of Optometry with Clinical honors in 1996. Additional training focusing in the treatment and management of ocular disease was completed in internships and the National Naval Medical Center is Bethesda. Maryland and the Veterans Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Alpert served on the board of San Fernando Valley Optometric Society and was President from 2004-2006. In 2003, Dr. Alpert received the prestigious Young Optometrist of the year award from the California Optometric Association.  Dr. Alpert was featured on the Channel 5 nightly news discussing the importance of nutrition in ocular health. Dr. Alpert also served on the board of the TLC Laser Eye Center in Encino.

The MISS/CF Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group
It will meet this Wed., Dec. 12 (2nd Wed. of the month) from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Wilshire Blvd. Temple (Barrington & Olympic location). All are welcome. It is a support group for parents that have said "an early goodbye" to much-wanted, much-loved babies. The group is open to pregnancy or infant loss of any kind, and parents at different stages of grief are welcome to attend and participate.
