Babysitter/part-time nanny lead
Recd this lead and wanted to pass it on:
Some of you may know my friend, and lead teacher for "Outside the Box", Dee Travis.  Well, last year her husband died, and she is struggling to raise her three kids on her own.  They are older, but still living at home.  She teaches OTB classes for me, but that isn't enough to pay the bills.  She is looking for work as a babysitter/part-time nanny.  She worked as a nanny for a doula client of mine for 3 years before starting to teach, but the kids got older and started preschool, and they didn't need her anymore.  She is amazing with babies, and has a background in child development.  She also ran a preschool.  Outside of all that, I know her well, as our sons have played soccer together for 10 years, and I consider her a close personal friend.  She needs work.  So, if any of you need a babysitter, part-time nanny (because she teaches OTB classes) she is ready, and willing and would be great! She charges $15 per hour, and is not really a house keeper, etc.  Even if you only need her a few hours a week, I am hoping enough people will respond that she gets the work and money she needs to support her family.  I know how hard it is to find someone you can trust to watch and take care of your child, so this is a good opportunity for everyone!  If you are interested, call her and talk to her. Rescue Closing - Adopt a horse or a dog, or a cat for free
A longtime rescue person has been volunteering up at a Palmdale-area horse rescue and asked me to be of assistance in any way I could. Because of financial constraints, it has become clear they must close the rescue and find homes for all the animals. There are about 100 horses and about 15 dogs. Cats as well. If you know of any people who could adopt a horse or a dog, or a cat, or who know people who are horse or dog and cat people, or are connected with any other horse or dog and cat rescues anywhere in the U.S., then please send this along to them and ask them to forward to their friends as well.
