Handyman Lead
My nanny's husband, Milton and their brother in law Giovanni are skilled handymen and can fix, repair, redo, build you anything! Aside from handyman jobs, they also can lay tile, do plumbing and electrical work.  While Milton is possibly the "handy-er" of the two, they both drive and Giovanni speaks perfect English. They currently work for an electrician but are looking for side jobs after work and on the weekends. Milton just fixed two sets of shutters, hung some pictures, fixed a door knob, a dresser and is going to paint for me.  The list goes on. Active Parenting-Educated & Prepared, Unlocking The Mystery of Autism Spectrum Disorder
Michelle Mintz, M.S., C.C.C.-SLP, is a Licensed Speech and Language Therapist in Santa Monica. She has created a series of USEFUL articles that are MOST INFORMATIVE and HELPFUL. She has also designed an exceptional program in which she works with, educates and trains parents and caregivers of children who have difficulty communicating.  She specializes in working with children who have Autism or display autistic like symptoms.  She works with all ages but specializes in birth through five years old.  These are the most critical years for developing brain connections that have not formed and for stimulating language and early development.

Her program, Pro-Active Parenting.Educated & Prepared, is unique as it provides awareness, education, prevention and preparedness to parents of all children, those without language difficulties as well as those that are experiencing challenges.  

The first section of Pro-Active Parenting.Educated & Prepared is Baby's Brighter Connections, Essential Information Every Parent Needs About How Communicating is the Key to Connecting, she provides crucial information to those who are involved with children birth through five years old about how they can enhance the development of their child's language development.  Participants learn the strategies and techniques she utilizes with the children she works with during her private Speech and Language Therapy sessions. In the next section, Unlocking The Mystery of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Essential Information Every Parent Needs About Communication Difficulties, parents, caregivers and teachers will learn to recognize signs children demonstrate indicating difficulty with communication, autistic-like qualities as early as 6 months old and beyond, understand the crucial "window of time", receive information about the spectrum, learn roles therapists and doctors play and discover the resources and referrals available.  She wants to provide information to those who desire to learn, have questions, and need someone to hear their concerns.
